Fair random selection for the classroom
Type your class list once, then pick names all lesson. With no-repeat mode on (the default), the picker works through the whole list before anyone can be chosen twice — the digital equivalent of lollipop sticks in a jar, without the jar. Turn it off for pure random selection where every pick is independent.
Random cold-calling is one of the simplest evidence-backed ways to raise engagement: when any student might be asked, everyone rehearses an answer. This tool keeps it visibly fair, which matters — students accept random selection far more readily when they can see the process.
